(71) The Virtue of Silence

Re-reading this strip, I realize that instead of ending the strip with a witty come-back, Murf and even Jeff respond with awkward silence. Guess it shows that the cast of Murphy's Manor sometimes uses good manners.

(70) How did Murf talk Sid into doing the gardening?

Sid waxes philosophical while planting an Eastern Redbud in the front yard. 

This strip has a bit of everything that was on my mind from relationships to gardening. In short, I was ready to meet John. Thirty-two years later that Redbud is still growing in my front yard.

(69) Sex, hell. This is Philosophy.

Falling in love with the impossible is the ultimate defense. If there was never any chance of success in the first place, you can't really get hurt.

When it comes to sex (or lack thereof) a little philosophy goes a long way.
